What Do I Need To Do?
Complete your Independent Learning Journal (ILJ) using your most recent Observation of a Colleague to consider how you can develop your own professional teaching skills.
Reflect on the significance of effective lesson planning and consider what you have learned that will inform your own approach to planning learning experiences for pupils.
Use Gibbs’ Reflective Cycle as a framework to structure your reflection, ensuring you explore each stage in depth – from description and feelings through to evaluation, analysis, conclusion, and an action plan. Your ILJ entry needs to demonstrate critical thinking, personal insight, and clear links to your future classroom practice.
