Working within a naturally occurring teaching and learning opportunity that your school role offers, start to think about a learning experience that you can plan for a group of pupils that will enable you to begin to put your understanding of good pedagogy into practice.

Before you get started, arrange a meeting with your In-School Mentor to agree on a date, duration of experience and suitable group of pupils. You will submit your plan next week. We’ve saved a proforma that you can use to capture what you discussed in the meeting in the Week 7 resources folder in the Materials tab if you’d like to record the outcomes and gather some ideas for this week’s ILJ – it’s up to you!

Reminder: You may wish to download the Feedback and Action Plan form to give to your mentor so they know what you want them to look for and feed back to you about your lesson. It’s available on the Materials tab under Weeks 8 and 9.
