Learning Objective for Lesson 3: Compare and contrast how the lives of the people of the Windrush generation changed since they had moved from the Caribbean to the UK.
Your learning objective should start with the skills verbs compare and contrast (refer to metacognitive thought 2). This fits in under the wider skill of analysis.
Your learning objective should also refer to what the pupils had previously learned.
What did they learn in the previous two lessons?

Question 1 of 1
1. Question
Read the context for the sequence of lessons below and the metacognitive thoughts of the teacher who is about to plan their third lesson in a sequence of history lessons.
Context for sequence of lessons
In the first lesson, my pupils listed information that they had learned about what the lives of the people of the Windrush generation were like in the Caribbean compared to when they had moved to the UK.
In their second lesson, they discussed what they had learned the previous lesson and dramatised this into an interview on the news with a journalist.
Metacognitive thought 1: This lesson (third lesson in series), I want my pupils to use the wider skill of analysis. Essentially: Can my pupils distinguish between different parts/things?
Metacognitive thought 2: I also want them to use what they have previously learned to develop the skill of comparing and contrasting.
Now, write an open (skills-based) learning objective using this information. Additionally, use THIS DIAGRAM to support you.
This response will be reviewed and graded after submission.
