The above two learning objectives are open because they both focus on the skills that the teacher wants the pupils to develop and indicate that their success is on a continuum. Instead of providing a definitive right or wrong answer, pupils will produce an outcome that requires the teacher to use their judgement to assess whether the pupils have met their learning objectives.
