In preparation for this TLA session you might like to cast your eye over the below ideas and think about how you can assess the pupils’ progress in both yours, and your colleagues’ lessons when you observe them. How do you/does your colleague establish the pupils’ starting points for building the knowledge and skills in the lesson? How do you/does your colleague consciously move pupils from those early points to something deeper, and more sophisticated? What steps are involved?
