Reflecting on the success of professional relationships at school
What Do I Need To Do?
The School Community Project is a great chance to add some value to your school by completing a piece of work which is needed, and may enhance the learning or experience of some of the school’s pupils or your colleagues. Arrange to speak to your mentor about your proposal and when they are free for 20-30 minutes to have a discussion with you and Grad2Teach about your progress this term – this is really important! (See Week 6 Tripartite discussion for more details)
Review the insights you’ve gathered from your school research and staff interviews. Based on this evidence, identify key themes, concerns, or opportunities that could serve as the foundation for an School Community Project. Your aim is to explore a topic that, if addressed, could lead to a measurable improvement in some aspect of school life – whether that’s related to student outcomes, staff well-being, parental engagement, or the broader school culture.
Next Steps:
Begin drafting a proposal outlining your chosen investigation focus. This should include:
– Potential outcomes or changes it could support
– The identified issue or opportunity
– Why it matters (based on your research/interviews)
– Your initial thoughts on how the investigation could be carried out
How and Where Should I Upload My Completed Task?
You will be required to upload your School Community Project Proposal next week. You’ll find a template that you can begin completing this week on the Materials tab and submit next week.
