Grad2Teach | Phase 1 Training | PA Portfolio, Study Groups and AOR Pastoral Sessions|Spring Term
Welcome! This term will enable you to continue to build your portfolio and deepen your understanding of the Teachers’ Standards. You will continue to work with your Professional Assessor(PA) and take part in the timetabled Study Group Sessions.
When you are ready to apply for your assessment term, you will be invited to attend AOR Pastoral Sessionsaimed at supporting you through the application process. The AOR Pastoral Sessions will continue to support you during your 12-week assessment period.
Your AOR Portfolio includes:
Completing and uploading either a Lesson Plan (LP) or Observing Colleagues (OC) document every week for your PA to feedback on. It is important that you continue to actively engage with your PA’s feedback and respond to any questions or action points. In total 6 x LP’s and 6 x OC’s.
Attending 2 Study Groups every half term with a focus on 2 Teacher Standards. In the materials tab there are links to articles, books and information to develop your understanding of each of the Teacher Standards that will be discussed. With an optional Independent Learning Journal (ILJ) after the Study Group to reflect on your own practice regarding the 2 Teaching Standards. The Course Manager will give feedback on your ILJ.
Arranging a formal observation with your In-School Mentor (ISM) each half term; one must be a joint observation with your Professional Assessor.
After each observation, complete the Post-Observation Reflection & Action Plan (RPA) for the Course Manager to give feedback on.
Attending AOR Pastoral Support Sessions during your application term and your 12-week assessment period.
