Task 5: Can I create a lesson plan based on the taxonomy?

Creating a Lesson Plan Using Blooms Revised

If this is the first lesson plan you’ve created, you may find it a little daunting, but don’t worry! Remember, you have already done quite a bit of thinking about possible activities by completing the previous task, where you filled in two possible Bloom’s inspired sets of subject/topic activities. Which of those could you base a lesson on? It won’t be very easy – or indeed, even possible – to do justice to all of the thinking levels (remembering, understanding, applying, analysing, evaluating, creating) in one lesson, but you may be able to combine 2 or maybe 3. You can bring your lesson plan to your training day on Monday 27th October and even if it’s not perfect, it’ll be a great bit of preparation towards understanding lesson planning.

Please use the resources under the Materials tab to help you complete this activity – they’re all there to remind you of the key ideas and support your understanding.

Please note: if you are not yet planning lessons, you may want to treat it as a learning experience and use the easier lesson proforma to complete this task.

Good luck!
