Independent Learning Journal (ILJ) | W4 – Focus: Your school’s Behaviour Policy
What Do I Need To Do?
Read your placement school’s Behaviour Policy and complete the tasks on your Independent Learning Journal. After examining the policy, you are asked to reflect on its significance. All the prompts you need for this task are written on the paperwork for your journal.
Reflect (using Gibbs’ Reflective Cycle each time as a framework) on the importance of such a policy being in place and the responsibility of all staff to first know the policy and then be able to apply it consistently. Alternatively – what are the likely consequences when staff do not know/follow the school policy? Don’t forget to complete the Action Plan task based on your summary which follows.
Where Should I Complete This Task?
You need to complete this task on the word document called W4 ILJ Focus – Behaviour Policy and Practice which you can find under Week 4 of the Materials tab Workbook.
How and Where Should I Upload My Completed Task?
Please use the upload box below to upload your completed ILJ entry. Your document needs to be uploaded as a PDF and labelled with your initials followed by ‘ILJ4 Pt1’ e.g. AE ILJ4 Pt1.
